Distance in Florida

Miami to Tampa is a four-hour drive. Most members set their distance to their own coast; if you are happy to drive, a wider range will show you more people.

Outdoor dates

Florida's outdoors is its strength. Kayak through the mangroves in the Keys or on the Gulf coast, walk the boardwalks of the Everglades, or visit one of the state's freshwater springs, where manatees gather in the cooler months. The Saturday Morning Market in St Petersburg runs through the winter season and has plenty for vegans, and Sarasota's bayfront is good for an evening walk.

Year-round and part-year members

Some of our Florida members live there all year; others split the year between Florida and somewhere cooler. If you are a winter resident, say so on your profile and set your distance from where you spend the season. Members on the Atlantic coast from Miami up to West Palm Beach can usually find enough people within an hour's drive, while those inland or on the Gulf may want to look a little wider. Orlando sits in the middle, and members there often set a range that reaches both coasts. Tampa Bay and the Space Coast are each about an hour or so from Orlando by road.
